Kiato meets up with Yuno and asks if he can train with him, but Yuno declines as he still has not fully recovered his mana after using it to create the giant sword. Yuno unleashes a devastating attack on the Behemoth, but it manages to survive the attack unharmed due to its Magic Coating. The Behemoth then creates a series of clones and attacks Yuno with them one by one with his multiple hands. While fighting the clones, Yuno hears a voice from inside yelling for help. In a remote village in the Hage Kingdom, a young woman, Rhya, gives birth with her husband, Lemiel Silvamillion Clover. Lemiel names their sons Yuno and Asta before collapsing from training the day before. Five days later, Lemiel leaves to be with Rhya who has died from childbirth and promises to his sons that Yuno will become the next Magic Emperor.

The Clover Kingdom's Royal Knights Exam has begun with many participants aiming for the title of Magic Emperor.The Clover King is a giant, muscular man with short black hair and light purple eyes. 

He has three large piercings on his right ear and a smaller one on his left earlobe. He has the number "3" tattooed onto his left hand's knuckles, and a small cross tattoo under his right eye. The Clover King wears a long, dark robe made of cloth that has a lighter trim across the bottom collar, arms and torso. Underneath the robe, he wears a light tunic with patterns design made of fur. On his head is also a wide-brimmed hat, held in place by two large clips on either side. The hat itself bears three black crosses, arranged in a triangular pattern.
